LEBANESE  BREAD

Ingredients :

16 g yeast (about 4 teaspoons yeast)
2 tablespoon sugar
3 cups flour
1 cup water (or more)
1 teaspoon salt
fresh milk ~ for brushing
sesame seeds.


Method :

1. Place flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a mixer. Mix well.
2. On the mixer and slowly pour in the water.
3. Knead till a soft dough is formed.
4. Set in a warm place to rise until doubled in bulk.
5. Punch down the dough. Divide into 6 to 8 round balls.
6. Place on a lightly floured surface. With a rolling pin, flatten into 1/4 inch thick circles.
7.Cover with kitchen towel and let it rise again for 15 - 20 minutes.
8. Brush with milk and garnished with sesame seeds..
9. Heat the oven to 200 C for about 10 minutes.
10. Place the bread on baking sheets and bake for 8 minutes or until puffed up.
11. Then turn over so that the other side will be browned as well.
12. When the bread is slightly warm, place them in a plastic bag (I used Ziplock bags) to soften.
